From October 17th to 19th, the 4th Computer Assistance Welding Engineering and Additive Manufacturing International Seminar in 2024 opened in Jinan, Shandong. This seminar is hosted by Shandong University - Osaka University Material Connection International Joint Lab, co-organized by Shaanxi Provincial Friction Welding Technology Key Lab of Northwestern Polytechnical University, Material Laser Manufacturing and Material Modification Key Lab of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Welding Branch of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and others, and jointly co-organized by Shandong Aotai Electric Co., Ltd. And other support units.
In this information technology time, material welding has already turned from an experience art to an activity combining the most advanced tools of various basic science and application science. This seminar takes New Progress and Trends in Welding & Additive Manufacturing as the topic. All attending guests jointly discuss the latest progress and development trends in welding technology and additive manufacturing. More than 330 scientists, technical specialists, researchers, and engineers specializing in welding from industry and academia around the world attended the seminar this time. The seminar invites famous international experts to make seminar reports and arranges branch venues for performing keynote reports and inviting reports. Mr. Zhang Guangxian, the general manager of Shandong Aotai, is honored to be invited to this seminar.
During the seminar, Aotai set up a technical communication booth to mainly present the brand new intelligent welding power source—Pro series, ASMT additive manufacturing equipment, and cobot welding system. Many academic experts came to the Aotai booth for technical communication during the seminar. These experts greatly appreciated Aotai's new products and technologies and R&D speed and intensity.
The welding power source programming and quality diagnosis and analysis software, specially developed for college researchers, provides an open platform for researchers and scholars. On the Pro power source platform, they can develop processes on themselves according to different research directions.
ASMT temperature control welding additive manufacturing equipment can meet the requirements for additive manufacturing of multiple materials, including aluminum alloy, copper alloy, nickel-base stainless steel alloy, and others. It can offer a forming effect of additive manufacturing comparable to that of imported brands.
The cobot arc welding system can realize drag-and-drop teaching free of programming, one-click automatic positioning, and other functions by cooperating with Aotai’s self-developed precise laser weld tracker and arc welding software. Its human-machine cooperation enjoys light and flexibility, high safety, and other features.
